“Empty Bowls” Project and Silent Auction Fight Hunger

The art fair features a silent auction** comprising of art work donated by our exhibitors and our “empty bowls” project. The “empty bowls” project offers the opportunity to purchase ceramic bowls made by The Clay People ceramic arts club of The ClaySpace Studio. These ceramic bowls are formed by using the potter’s wheel or various hand building techniques like slab or coil construction.  The Clay People donate their time and talents for a great cause. ALL proceeds from the “empty bowls” project and the silent auction are donated, and divided equally among local food pantries.  ClaySpace is located in Warrenville and has adult and kids classes plus a Gallery. For more information, check www.clayspace.net or call 630-393-CLAY.

**Note: You need not be present to win, if you are the high bidder at the Silent Auction. We will make arrangements for payment and pick up or delivery of the art work.

Art Fair History
The dream of an Art Fair for the community became a reality for The Naperville Woman's Club in 1960 when a small number of artists exhibited their work on benches in Central Park. Since then the numbers have grown as has the artists' sophistication. The show moved to the Martin Mitchell Estate in 1969 with the advent of the Naperville Park District before Naper Settlement was created. At 48, The Naperville Woman's Club Annual Art Fair is the longest continuously running art fair in Illinois.
